Ambrosius Mediolanensis, Orationes funebres II: De excessu fratris libri II (liber secundus: De resurrectione), edited by V. Zimmerl-Panagl, Berlin et.al. 2022 (CSEL 107).

CSEL 107 is the second part of the critical edition of Ambrose’s Orationes funebres and contains the two speeches that Ambrose delivered for his deceased brother Satyrus: the first speech at the funeral, the second seven days later as a comprehensive treatise on the resurrection. The edited text is preceded by an introduction in which, among other issues, the question of the titles of the works and, above all, the manuscript tradition are examined in greater detail than before.
